Bozyazı District Directorate of National Education is the official representative of the Ministry of National Education in the district of Bozyazı and is the first-hand executive of the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry. It is responsible for
planning, executing, developing and auditing practices by evaluating all educational activities in the district. There are 1
District Director of National Education, 3 Branch Managers, 4 Chiefs, 7 Data Preparation Control Operators, 10 Officers, 2
Servants and 1 Driver in our Directorate. A total of 549 personnel, including 27 directors, 30 deputy directors and 492
teachers(38 of them are special education teachers) are employed in schools and institutions affiliated to our Directorate.
1 Public Education Center, 1 Teachers’ Center ASO Directorate, 2 VET high schools, 1 Independent Kindergarten, 24 kindergartens, 13 primary schools, 10 Secondary schools, 4 High Schools. There are 31 institutions in total. These institutions serve a total of 4485 students, aged between 5 and 19. There are 286 immigrant/ refugee students, 11 autistic, 8 hearing impaired and 61 mild mentally disabled. The fact that Bozyazı is in a region that is difficult to reach geographically and that most of the families make a living from agriculture causes students to experience both geographical and economic obstacles.
Providing the necessary support in the professional development of all teachers working in Bozyazı, developing their knowledge and skills are among the primary responsibilities of our institution. Our institution’s priorities are to support participation in national projects based on science ,
to provide the necessary support by encouraging the participation of educational staff and students in international projects in order to achieve a European Union standard education quality, and to lead the expansion of their horizons through intercultural interaction.
Providing the necessary support in the personal, professional and social development of all our pupils -especially the disadvantaged ones- and developing their knowledge and skills are among the primary objectives of our institution. Our institution supports all the educational staff and students, especially disadvantaged students, for participation to all formal or informal education opportunities, to all social, educative and artistic activities at all levels: local, national and transnational levels. We have been continuously taking active part in the projects related first of all with disadvantaged ones, and also related with all educative spheres, science, entrepreneurship and art, civic voluntary citizenship and democracy.
Our organization have been encouraging all our local citizens, our students and their families to participate and take active roles in international projects for achieving to obtain a European quality standart in all spheres of education and in all areas of social life in our region. Bozyazı District Directorate of National Education, as the regional education authority, can take part in all kinds of local, national and international projects with its 31 schools, 4485 students and 485 teachers. It has the opportunity to use all primary, secondary and high schools under its responsibility, as well as Municipality, District Governorship, Culture and
Environment Associations, for dissemination activities.
